Tom Cox (B.1990) is a contemporary British painter whose work captures the essence of the urban and natural world around us. His unique approach to painting evokes nostalgia, escapism and sanctuary, inviting the viewer to experience and reflect upon unique moments captured in time.
Influenced by Impressionism and contemporary art, Cox works in the traditional medium of oil on canvas, using a variety of layering techniques, tools and colour combinations to create striking and dynamic compositions.
His passion for both art and curation is evident in his work, as he is committed to bringing together artists and their audiences through group exhibitions and whilst hosting The Art Podcast.
Tom studied at Camberwell College of Art, London (2011) and completed a BA in Fine Art at Northampton University (2014). His work has since garnered critical acclaim, and has been featured in prestigious publications such as The Guardian, Artists and Illustrators Magazine, and the Evening Standard.
